*cracks knuckles* From top to bottom, good and bad:
The top needs a bit more black space to get the "g" out from behind his head, and maybe give the text a bit more character. Also, the sideways lines in the second part of the Japanese symbol should be a bit thicker, to fit with the rest of it.
His hair is good, though a bit too solid. The eyebrows should probably match his hair, but the shape and size of them looks fine. The eyes are also good. The nose needs some depth and shape to it, as well as his mouth.
The rumpling of his clothes is well done, though I think you should try letting his collar bone show in the open part of his shirt (like maybe some shading). I like the apple, but his hand looks lumpy, and the fingernails should be lighter.
Add a few more details to the pants. His shirt is all rumpled n' lit n' such, but the pants are pretty flat, so the difference there is rather striking.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that this was partially perspective practice? That part turned out quite well, though maybe his arm is a bit too far across his body. Also, may I assume from now on that my dissecting comments are welcome unless specifically noted otherwise?

Neat, but I think it could use some improvement. For instance, Light doesn't look like enough of a jackass.
...I'm kidding, I just want more reasons to hate him is all.

What you COULD work on is that his clothes are kind of lacking in detail, especially the pants. They seem to be devoid of wrinkles and shading, whereas the shirt is perhaps too wrinkly. Light doesn't let his clothes get that wrinkly. (Because he's so preppy.)

The image is kind of imbalanced, if you ask me. There's a lot of stuff concentrated on the left side of the image but the right side is pretty empty. Light's nose also seems to be missing in action. o_O

I really like the hair and eyes, though, the hair especially is your strongest point here if you ask me. The hand is kind of awesome though a bit weird looking, and I can't figure out why, but I like his tie.
